Become a Coach and make a difference

Anchorage Sports and other organizations are in need of coaches for upcoming programs and leagues.

Who can be a coach?

You don't need to be a pro or an expert in any sport to be a good coach. If you love working with young adults, want to have an impact on your community, and have some basic sports knowledge, you can coach any sport with a little bit of help.

Below are several opportunities to coach in volleyball and softball (both fastpitch and slowpitch!). Let us know if you are interested and help share your passion for athletics!

Boys and Girls Club - Assistant Volleyball Coach

The B&G Club is in immediate need of an assistant volleyball coach for a U14 Competitive team. The practice schedule is Tuesday 6-7:30p & Thursday 7:30-9p at Mears Middle School.

impact fastpitch softball

We are expanding our IMPACT program into fastpitch softball! We need about 8 coaches (4 head coaches and 4 assistant coaches) to help run this program this summer, starting in June and going through mid-July. Our target age group is 8th grade through high school seniors for teams that will practice 1-2 times a week and compete at least 1 time a week. We will also be offering some middle school developmental camps and clinics.

Potential for a coaching clinic May 4-6 with Cindy Bristow from Softball Excellence for those interested!

Youth (18U) Slowpitch Softball

As part of our slowpitch season, we will be offering a coed youth league this summer. We hope to have at least 8 teams compete in this division. Coaches would organize their own practices before the season begins, and once the season begins teams will compete weekly. Game times will be at 5:30. The season will begin mid-May and run through July.

Volleyball, Fastpitch, or Slowpitch -- share your love for the game and get involved today!

If you are interested in getting involved with any of these programs as a coach, please contact Stacie for more information.
