Winter and Fall 2016
Winter volleyball begins mid-January and ends in April. Fall volleyball begins mid-September and runs until mid-December. Please see the information regarding each league of play below and read our General Rules and Regulations. Team fees for all leagues are $500 and player fees are $65. All team fees must be paid by the registration deadline to guarantee a place in the league. Player contracts and fees must be turned in before play. All teams are guaranteed 16 games, with the exception of Coed Rec. Coed Rec is guaranteed 14 games plus an adult skills clinic during the first week of play. Players may play in multiple leagues, but may only play within one division in a league (eg. A player can play Women's Metro and Reverse B, but not Women's Metro and Women's B). Please see the 2016 Winter/Spring Manager's Letter for detailed information and division classifications of previous teams.
All Anchorage Sports volleyball players must register for USAV membership. Membership lasts from October 1 until September 30, regardless of when players register. New USAV members click here.
Women's & Men's Leagues
Women's and Men's leagues consist of all female or male players and are typically offered in the Winter season. Each division offers varying levels of skills, ability, and competitiveness. See below for more information on each division.
Men's C & D
We currently offer one men's league with 2 levels of play: C and D, with C being the higher level of play. Our men's league is a healthy mix of experienced players and those still learning the game.
Our women's leagues play during the Winter season. Beginning with D and moving up to Metro, each league has progressively more experienced and skilled players. Women's Metro teams largely consist of players who played competitively on high school/club teams and possibly college teams.
Coed Leagues - Rec/D/C
Coed leagues are offered during both the Winter and Fall seasons on varying nights. Coed play consists of 3 men and 3 women on the court at a time and is played on a men's height net. See the Special Rules for Coed and Reverse for more detailed rules for this league. Divisions begin with Recreational and go as high as C. The C division consists of players and teams with high levels of experience and skill.
Reverse Coed Leagues - B & C
Reverse coed leagues are offered during both the Fall and Winter seasons on Sundays. Reverse play consists of 4 women and 2 men and is played on a women's height net. Men play the setting positions and women block and hit. See the Special Rules for Coed and Reverse for more detailed information. Reverse offers two divisions of play, B and C.
