IMPACT Volleyball is Anchorage Sports Association's youth volleyball program. The name is rooted in our mission to make an impact on our community and will be the foundation for everything we do!

U10 Academy

Players in the U10 Academy will have the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of volleyball twice-per-week in training sessions designed to teach the game by playing the game. Players will learn the basic volleyball skills and start to develop a love for the game. Players learn the overhead pass/set, the bump/pass, the underhand serve, court position, and rotation, and the rules of the game. As the session progresses, kids that are ready can learn the basic hit approaches and other net skills, as well as overhead serves.

The seven-week session will commence on October 4 and conclude November 18, 2021 for the U10 Academy. Training sessions will be held once per week on Monday evenings. Games will be played on Thursday evenings and will commence the second week of the season.

U12 Academy

Players in the U12 Academy will continue with the format established with the U10 Academy while focusing on a curriculum which will allow for a smoother transition to the middle school and eventually high school volleyball. At this level basic skills will be reinforced while additional, more complex skills are taught. Players will stay with basic rotations, but begin to learn positions such as setter, hitter, and defensive specialist.

The seven-week session will commence on October 4 and conclude on November 18, 2021 for the U12 Academy. Training sessions will be held once per week on Monday evenings. Games will be played on Thursday evenings and will commence the second week of the season.

U14 Academy

Players in the U14 Academy will continue building on the player development benchmarks established with the U12 Academy twice-per-week in training sessions, but in a realistic and competitive volleyball environment.  There will be an increasing focus on playing positions, switching positions, and making rotations which will allow for a smoother transition to the middle school and eventually high school volleyball..

The four-week session will commence on September 7  and conclude on September 30, 2021 for the U14 Academy. Training sessions will be held Monday and Thursday evenings. Games will be incorporated in each training session to allow for players to apply what they've learned in training into a game situation.

An IMPACT Volleyball t-shirt will be provided by Anchorage Sports Association to all players. Players will be responsible for providing their own knee pads (required).

Finally, IMPACT Volleyball is a member of USA Volleyball, the National Governing Body of Volleyball in the United States.
