IMPACT Volleyball is Anchorage Sports Association's youth volleyball program. The name is rooted in our mission to make an impact on our community and will be the foundation for everything we do!

10U Academy

Players in the 10U Academy will have the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of volleyball twice-per-week in training sessions designed to teach the game by playing the game. Players will learn the basic volleyball skills and start to develop a love for the game. Players learn the overhead pass/set, the bump/pass, the underhand serve, court position, and rotation, and the rules of the game. As the session progresses, kids that are ready can learn the basic hit approaches and other net skills, as well as overhead serves.

The seven-week session will commence on October 3 and conclude November 17, 2022 for the 10U Academy. Training sessions will be held once per week on Monday evenings. Games will be played on Thursday evenings and will commence the second week of the season.

12U Academy

Players in the 12U Academy will continue with the format established with the 10U Academy while focusing on a curriculum which will allow for a smoother transition to the middle school and eventually high school volleyball. At this level basic skills will be reinforced while additional, more complex skills are taught. Players will stay with basic rotations, but begin to learn positions such as setter, hitter, and defensive specialist.

The seven-week session will commence on October 3 and conclude November 17, 2022 for the 12U Academy. Training sessions will be held once per week on Monday evenings. Games will be played on Thursday evenings and will commence the second week of the season.

An IMPACT Volleyball t-shirt will be provided by Anchorage Sports Association to all players. Players will be responsible for providing their own knee pads (required).

Finally, IMPACT Volleyball is a member of USA Volleyball, the National Governing Body of Volleyball in the United States.
