The Anchorage Sports Association is a member-driven 501(c)3 nonprofit established in 1975. Our mission is to develop and promote amateur sports within the metropolitan area of Anchorage. We offer softball, volleyball and basketball programs for adults and youth. 

Our mission is to promote athletics among young people and adults in the Anchorage area at all levels of play, providing a fun, competitive atmosphere for friends, family, and coworkers to come together to play the sports they love. We are proud of the community we have built here in Anchorage and around the state of Alaska over the last 50 years, and we look forward to finding more ways to serve our Association members and the greater Anchorage community.

Our major sports are basketball, softball, and volleyball. Each sport is governed by councils made up of members who participate in the respective leagues. The association belongs to the players! 

The Anchorage Sports staff works with these councils to run leagues and tournaments. The overall organization governance is overseen by the Executive Board, which is made up of members from each sports council.
